Liner Notes to the LP The Esso Trinidad Steelband

The producers dedicate this album to H.R.H. Prince Bernhard, of the Netherlands, (President , World Wildlife Fund), His Excellency Sir Ellis Clarke, Ambassador of Trinidad Tobago to the United States, Commandant Jacques Yves Cousteau and Ellen Stern Harris for their contributing efforts in bahalf of wildlife.

In 1945, Trinidad celebrated V.E. Day when W.W.II concluded in favor of democratic principles. A calypsonian then wrote: "When Roosevelt came to the land of the hummingbird sounds of laughter were heard the President had just been in a peace conference to stop war and atrocity and make the world safe for democracy in the interest of suffering humanity!"

As well as wildlife, Trinidad abounds in oil drums, left from oil interests of the Allied Powers. Esso is related solely on that basis. Warner Brothers is honored to present these powerful men, shades of many past and present groups. They hold a national trust, history for the future, a tiger by the tail. Positive values naturally form a morally growing economy.

Esso drums were made well, with 18 guage steel. This group has raised a musical Excalibur for all steelbands who consider capitalism free-enterprize. As moved by their heritage as the motor city, the men anticipate Carnival in February to enjoy that region they protect. Trinidad is wet and wild.
